Official Drop-Off Location in Sioux Falls

Cell Phones for Soldiers Drop Off Team Automotive is honored to support our troops by serving as an official Cell Phones For Soldiers' Drop-Off location. Residents and customers in the Sioux Falls area can bring their gently used or newer cell phones to our shop during business hours. These donations help provide valuable communication lifelines to military members overseas. Donated phones are either resold or recycled, with proceeds funding essential services for America's bravest.

About Cell Phones For Soldiers

Robbie and Brittany Bergquist Cell Phones For Soldiers was founded in 2004 by siblings Robbie and Brittany Bergquist from Norwell, Massachusetts, when they were just 12 and 13 years old. Since its inception, the charity has provided free communication services to active-duty military members and veterans. The organization collaborates with volunteers nationwide to collect and recycle cell phones, with proceeds supporting two key programs: Minutes That Matter and Helping Heroes Home.

Minutes That Matter, the charity's original initiative, offers free calling cards to servicemen and women. Since 2004, this program has delivered over 210 million minutes of free talk time to troops and veterans. Service members can request calling cards through the charity's website, cellphonesforsoldiers.com.

Launched in July 2012, Helping Heroes Home is the charity's newest program, providing emergency financial assistance to veterans. This program helps with one-time urgent needs such as cell phones and service, computers and internet access, rent payments to prevent eviction, crucial car repairs, and more. Veterans can apply for assistance online at cellphonesforsoldiers.com.

Cell Phones For Soldiers accepts used mobile phones from all service providers. Each $5 donation or donated device valued at $5 provides troops and veterans with 2.5 hours of free talk time. To date, the organization has prevented over 11.3 million cell phones from ending up in landfills.
